Most Magura disc brakes use the brand’s Carbotecture lever bodies, a proprietary composite material that reduces weight while maintaining strength. Their hydraulic systems run on Royal Blood mineral oil, which is non-corrosive and low-maintenance compared to DOT fluid.

Four-piston models like the MT5 and MT7 provide powerful, consistent braking even on long descents, while maintaining excellent modulation for technical riding. The MT7, in particular, is a favorite among aggressive riders thanks to its tool-free reach adjustment, individual pad adjusters, and massive stopping force.
