Which Amped Bike Is Right For My Child?
Choosing the right electric balance bike for your child can be difficult, especially when there are several Amped models to choose from. At Superior Cycles, we offer the full Amped range — from the smaller A10, through the A16 and A16 Pro, up to the larger A20 and A20 Pro.
The easiest way to choose is not to look at age alone. Your child's height, inside-leg measurement, riding ability and experience are all important when choosing the right bike.
Amped A10 — The Perfect Starting Point
The Amped A10 is the smallest bike in the Amped range, designed for younger and smaller riders who are beginning to develop their balance and throttle control. With a 10-inch wheel, 40cm seat height and a 150W motor, the A10 is easy to handle and approachable for new riders.

Amped A16 — The Next Step
The Amped A16 is designed for children who are ready to move up from a smaller balance bike and want more power and a larger frame. With 16-inch tyres, a 48cm seat height and a 320W motor, the A16 provides a noticeable step up from the A10 while remaining easy to control.

Amped A16 Pro — More Power, More Performance
The A16 Pro keeps the compact 16-inch format but adds significantly more performance. With a 400W brushless hub motor, three speed settings, hydraulic front and rear disc brakes and adjustable suspension, the A16 Pro is aimed at riders who want something more capable for off-road riding and more demanding use. The seat height can also be adjusted from approximately 52–60cm, allowing the bike to grow with your child.

Amped A20 — Bigger Bike, Bigger Ride
The Amped A20 moves up to a larger 20-inch platform, designed for riders who have outgrown the smaller A16. It has a 48cm seat height, 36V 5Ah lithium battery and a 180W motor, with a top speed of up to 19 mph.

Amped A20 Pro — The Performance Choice
At the top of the range is the Amped A20 Pro. This is a completely different level of performance to the standard A20, with an 800W brushless hub motor, three riding modes and speeds of up to 28 mph. It also features hydraulic front and rear brakes, adjustable front suspension and 20 x 2.60-inch off-road tyres.
Because of its performance, the A20 Pro should not be chosen simply because a child is old enough for a 20-inch bike. The rider needs to be physically large enough for the bike, confident and experienced enough to control it, and able to use the bike responsibly.
